Representing the paradoxical duality of existence, Contronym is a visual symphony of contrast between what most see as art, and what simply is art. At first glance, the observer is confronted with two opposing forces. The delicate juxtaposition between the raw, unpolished anatomy of the canvas, and the warm artwork it envelops. 

At its conception, the canvas was inverted by artists Benjamin Steer & Matthew Turk of the Schneed Collective, intent on revealing its secrets to the world. Function, structure and esoteric beauty must not be veiled from total inception.
